Physiotherapist Position

Macarthur FC are on the hunt for a physiotherapist passionate about working in sport.

WHAT IS THE ROLE?

We are looking for a physiotherapist to join our Football Department on a part-time basis.

Reporting to the Head Physiotherapist, the role works collaboratively within the Football Department ensuring the effective rehabilitation of players across our Professional A-League team, together with our youth programs. The role’s core responsibilities include injury diagnosis, management and prevention.

This role will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Assist in the assessment and diagnosis of musculoskeletal conditions related to player’s within the first team squad and the implementation of appropriate treatment and rehabilitation strategies;
  • Co-ordinating and covering Match Days for our Academy and Women’s programs;
  • Overseeing and co-ordinating weekly injury clinics for our Academy and Women’s programs;
  • Pre training management of players including taping, manual therapy and administration of treatment as required;
  • Close liaison with the Club Doctor, Strength & Conditioning staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team to optimise player medical care and performance;
  • Delivery of individual and A-Leagues squad-based injury prevention programmes based on screening, past medical history and injury trends;
  • Reporting of all injuries to the Head Physiotherapist and provide updates on all player’s rehabilitation progress;
  • Complete comprehensive and confidential medical records for all professional A-League players;
  • Advise Head Physiotherapists with regard to managing complex injuries and issues relating to injuries and should the need arise, refer cases on to the most appropriate clinic, specialist or rehabilitation environment;
  • Be a champion in promoting the values of the organisation and driving a positive and engaging culture into the community;
  • Ensure that all activities are performed in accordance with the governance and compliance requirements of Macarthur FC

 WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Registered Physiotherapist
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to collaborate with teams
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft programs and Mac Programs. Experience with software such as Tableau will be looked upon favourably
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal and external groups and stakeholders
  • Able to work on matchdays for both A-League and NPL teams, both locally and interstate as required
  • Driven, proactive and a positive self-motivating attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Results orientated
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Current right to work in Australia
  • A strong team player who is prepared to support other areas of the business as and when required
  • Punctuality and ability to work flexible hours to align with the teams
