Macarthur FC is excited to announce the signing of Chris Ikonomidis for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 Isuzu UTE A-League seasons.
Ikonomidis joins as an attacking midfielder, further strengthening the club’s midfield for the upcoming seasons, having previously played for SS Lazio, US Salernitana 1919, and Melbourne Victory.
The 29-year old’s addition to the Bulls brings a wealth of experience and a winning mentality, demonstrated by his accolades, which include an Italian Super Cup, two Coppa Italia Primavera titles, two Italian Supercoppas, and an Australia Cup. Fans can look forward to his impactful presence on the field.
Ikonomidis spoke on his recent signing to the Bulls, stating “Feels great. I’m super excited to join the Bulls, and really excited to meet my teammates, and almost can’t wait for preseason to start.”
“I’m looking forward to meeting my teammates, starting training, and starting that whole preseason process to get fit and then to round one. We want to push it as far as we can this year and from a personal and team point of view.”
