Mums & Daughters Term 4 EmpowerHER Program
A program for women and girls to connect through football. Bring along a younger girl in your life — whether she’s your daughter, niece, granddaughter or family friend — for fun games and activities that build skills, confidence and a love of the game.

The Play Our Way program was established to promote equitable opportunities for women and girls to benefit from sport at all levels and locations by addressing the barriers they experience when participating in sport and physical activity. This initiative is proudly supported by grant funding from the Australian Government’s Play Our Way program.
A FREE Football Pathway for Women & Girls
The EmpowerHER – Macarthur Bulls Community Program Program is an initiative aimed at fostering a FREE inclusive and accessible football pathway for women and girls in South West Sydney and the Macarthur region. Focused on engaging CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse), Indigenous, and isolated communities, the program works to break down barriers to participation, including cultural norms, language challenges, and limited access to equipment.
What will this program deliver?
We use a Train and Play model, focusing on small-sided games and skill development within real game scenarios. It’s a great way to engage, develop your football abilities, and build confidence!
Program Structure:
- Duration: 1 – 1.5 hour sessions
- Coaching: 1-2 trained and qualified coaches per session
- Session Breakdown:
- Welcome, Check-in and Catch Up
- Learning new skills and ball mastery
- Fun, enganging activities
- Small-sided games to put skills into practice
- Cool-down, group reflection and Q&A
What age group is this program for?
The EmpowerHER program caters to junior girls aged 11–14 and 15–18, as well as senior ladies aged 17+ and 35+.
