Recently, Macarthur FC players Chris Ikonomidis, Kristian Popovic, and Bernado brought the 2024 Australia Cup trophy to NSW Parliament House for a special presentation to Sports Minister Steve Kamper and Member for Leppington, Nathan Hagarty.
The Bulls were honored to showcase their Australia Cup win at NSW Parliament, where they presented the trophy. Minister of Sport, Steve Kamper praised the team, saying, “That’s an amazing achievement in itself. Looking forward to keeping this piece of silverware again next year.”
He went on to highlight the club’s impact, adding, “The team itself has been an enormous success, very important presence in South West Sydney … You’ve made the region really, really proud, and we’re just looking forward to continuing to engage with you and support Macarthur FC on this journey.”
MP Nathan Hagarty shared his pride in the club’s accomplishment, remarking, “I’ve been telling everyone that the pride of Football in NSW will be coming to the chamber, given this beautiful piece of silverware here.”
He continued, “It’s a testament to what you have set up, and the passion that we have in South West Sydney. The Football that you have done as well as you have in such a short amount of time, and with the resources you have.”
“I’ve been cheering you guys on since day dot, and it’d be lovely to see you guys taking out the big one this year.”
