Macarthur Bulls FC is thrilled to announce that defender Oliver Jones has extended his contract with the club for a further three seasons.
Rising through the ranks of the Bulls FC Academy, Jones has become a key figure in the team’s defence. The 21-year-old has delivered consistent performances, making six standout appearances this season.
Jones’ strong performances in defence have been crucial to the team’s stability this season, with his ability to read the game and stay calm under pressure making him a key player for the Bulls. His exceptional form has solidified his place in the starting XI during the 2024/25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
Commenting on his re-signing, Jones said:
“I’m buzzing. Being at the club for a few years now, and to re-sign with a three-year contract, is great for me. It’s a proud moment, and I think it’s a step in the right direction for my career.”
“I’m happy with the games I’ve had, but there’s still a lot to learn from each game and training. I just need to keep moving in the right direction.”
“My goals and expectations are to get consistency on the field, play good minutes, perform, help the team, add value, get as many clean sheets as I can, and just do my bit to help the team win games.”
The club is excited to keep building on its strong defence with Jones at the centre of the backline. As the Bulls aim to succeed in the 2024/25 season and beyond, Jones’ commitment is an important step for the club’s future success.
