Bulls Secure First ACL2 Victory

A cold and windy Thursday night ended in triumph for the Bulls, who claimed their first win of the AFC Champions League Two campaign with a dominant performance at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

The Bulls started strong, with Chris Ikonomidis finding the back of the net in just the 3rd minute. Holding an early lead, they continued to press for a second, with close chances from Anthony Cáceres and Matthew Sawyer. At the other end, Filip Kurto stood tall, pulling off several key saves to deny Beijing Guoan’s attacking efforts.

The Bulls carried their one-goal advantage into the break before doubling it early in the second half. A pinpoint cross from Oliver Randazzo found Tomislav Uskok, who slotted home in the 58th minute to make it 2–0. The Bulls sealed the result late in the match when Sime Gržan scored his first goal for the club, finishing off a clever assist from Ikonomidis.

The final whistle confirmed a well-deserved 3–0 victory, the Bulls’ first win in the ACL2 and a confident statement on home soil.

The Bulls are back in action for Round 2 of the 2025/26 Isuzu UTE A-League season, taking on Adelaide United in another instalment of Macarthur Mondays. Join us at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Monday, 27 October at 7:00 pm and don’t miss a moment of the action.
