The A-Leagues Club CEOs and APL Executive met in person on Monday to review the work that has been in development since early in the year on supporter consultation. The development process included benchmarking global best practice and consulting with local stakeholders to come up with the best model for Australasia, and everyone agreed to formalise the agreement that every club would commit to a formal Fan Representative Group.
This group will involve a cross-section of each club’s fanbase for the Isuzu UTE A-League Men and Liberty A-League Women to ensure that fan voices can be heard and considered in decision making on key matters. A chair will be elected from this group to represent their club in the newly formed A-League Fan Representative Group and minutes from the group meetings will be shared between the Clubs and the League and published on official channels.
We are all committed to ensuring that fan voices are involved in the issues that affect them, and work begins now to formalise our group with representatives from across our fan base.
Fans who wish to represent Macarthur FC on the A-League’s Fan Representative Group are advised to register their interest by emailing membership@macarthurfc.com.au by May 31, including membership number, full name, contact details and a brief description of your experience in different cross sections of the game.
