Bulls End Their Season on a High

The Bulls wrapped up their season in style, defeating Wellington Phoenix 4–0 in a thrilling home victory.

A beautiful Friday evening set the stage at Campbelltown Sports Stadium, beginning with a moving ANZAC ceremony. The occasion also marked Campbelltown Community Round, with local residents enjoying free entry to the match.

With their final game of the season carrying extra significance, the Bulls rose to the occasion in front of a crowd of more than 6,000. They made an early impact, opening the scoring just eight minutes in when Matthew Jurman volleyed the ball into the back of the net. While there was some debate over whether it should be recorded as an own goal, it was ultimately awarded to Jurman.

Wellington Phoenix looked to respond, but the Bulls extended their lead in the 22nd minute, as Dean Bosnjak calmly tapped the ball home from close range.

Playing with confidence and intensity, the Bulls continued to create chances while shutting down Wellington’s attacking efforts. Luke Brattan added a third goal in the 34th minute with a stunning strike from 25 yards, capping off a dominant first-half performance as the Bulls headed into the break 3–0 up.

The second half saw a slightly slower tempo, but it featured the return of Harry Politidis from injury, along with appearances from brothers Bernardo and Henrique at Campbelltown.

The sibling duo combined in the 75th minute to seal the result, with Henrique setting up Bernardo for a well-taken finish. Wellington threatened late, coming close to scoring when a shot ricocheted off the crossbar, but the Bulls held firm.

Finishing on a high note, the Bulls closed out their season with an emphatic 4–0 win over Wellington Phoenix.
