Bulls Fall Short Against Auckland FC in A-Leagues Unite Round

The Bulls wrapped up the 2024/25 A-Leagues Unite Round with a narrow loss to league newcomers Auckland FC on a picturesque Sunday afternoon at Allianz Stadium.

Fans from Wellington Phoenix and Perth Glory joined the Bullpen, rallying behind the team as they aimed to secure three crucial points. The first half was evenly contested, with the Bulls creating several opportunities to take the lead. Ariath Piol spearheaded the attack, with multiple shots on goal, while Marin Jakolis and Luke Brattan also came close to breaking the deadlock.

The Bulls’ defensive line—Uskok, Vujica, Arsalanagić, and Adamson—held firm for much of the half. However, Auckland’s Guillermo May broke through, scoring in the 34th minute to give his side the lead. The Bulls headed into halftime needing a comeback.

The second half saw a determined Bulls side pressing Auckland’s defence relentlessly. Piol and Jakolis worked well together, coming agonizingly close to finding the equaliser. Substitutions brought fresh energy to the squad, with Oliver Randazzo, Frans Deli, Yianni Nicolaou, Daniel De Silva, and Harrison Sawyer entering the fray.

Despite their efforts, the Bulls couldn’t capitalise on their chances, and the match ended in a narrow 0–1 defeat to Auckland FC.
