Using football as the vehicle, the Club Patrons and the Macarthur FC Foundation Inc. will look to promote positive change across three core areas in our community: Indigenous, domestic violence awareness, health and physical wellbeing in disadvantaged young people. The aim is to enhance the fabric of our region through the world game.
Macarthur FC Chairman Gino Marra welcomed the six patrons and expressed delight in further developing strong relationships with leaders in our community.
“Incorporating six prominent local members across all levels of government, as Club Patrons of Macarthur FC is a large boost for the club in promoting positive change in our region through football,” Marra said.
“We have a real opportunity through football, to drive positive social change in our region. Assisting and supporting members of the community across Indigenous and domestic violence spaces, plus addressing poverty in disadvantaged young people in our community, through our Club Patrons and the Macarthur FC Foundation Inc. are core pillars of the club.
“The inclusion of Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic as a Club Patron further strengthens the clubs existing relationship with Campbelltown City Council as a community partner. Connecting with the local community through the Macarthur FC Food Truck initiative and the roll out of other community programs with the support of council is a huge advantage for us.” Marra added.

The inclusion of Macarthur FC into the A-League will not only create a fantastic pathway for young local footballers to attempt to become professionals, but also gives us an opportunity to show how great the region of Macarthur is.
