Last night at the Macarthur FC Experience Store at Macarthur Square, the ‘Bull with no name’ and mascot for Macarthur FC was officially welcomed as the 12th ‘man’ on the team, presented by Macarthur Square. Following a naming competition by members, fans and locals alike throughout December 2021, Macarthur FC unveiled its newest recruit, Arthur The Bull.
Over 500 entries were received from avid Football fans and followers of Macarthur FC, however it was local Narellan girl, Liana Martins (8 years) who took out the win, earning her a special place in the club’s history.
Liana was overwhelmed with excitement that her suggestion of ‘Arthur’ would now be adorned on the offical Mascot’s jersey above his number, 21. Joined by her Brother, Cooper Martins (11 years), the children were smiling from ear to ear when they met Arthur The Bull and joined in welcoming him to the team.
Arthur The Bull will make his debut at the Macarthur FC v Perth Glory home game on Wednesday 26th Jan, 2022. This potential on field favourite is eager to step onto the pitch at Campbelltown Sports Stadium and hear the fans ringing their cowbells and chanting his name. Join in the celebrations and purchase tickets for the whole family via Ticketek or pop by the Macarthur FC Experience Store on level 3 of Macarthur Square and immerse yourself in all things Bulls, complete with a synthetic turf ‘mini stadium’.
