NPL NSW Wrap Up

Another round of the NPL NSW for our Bulls FC Academy has come to an end.

The U13s, U14s and U18s took home three points over the weekend after they secured wins against South Coast Flame. The U16s shared the points with South Coast Flame FC at Northbridge Oval after they drew 1 – 1. The U15s were unfortunately defeated on Sunday.

The First Grade Men had another tough loss on Saturday, after they were defeated by NWS Spirit at Sydney United Sports Centre. NWS Spirit opened the scoring just 6 minutes into the match, but the Bulls fought back. 4 minutes after NWS Spirit scored, Eddie Caspers managed to weave his way through NWS Spirit’s midfield and take a shot from distance, burying the ball into the top left corner. The Bulls continued to fight hard throughout the remaining 80 minutes, with both teams having some fantastic chances at goal, but they couldn’t hold on.  In the 85th minute, NWS Spirt managed to slip through the Bulls’ grasp and secure the win. The Bulls tried to fight back for the remaining minutes, but it wasn’t enough. The match ended in a 1 – 2 defeat. The U20s, however, had another fantastic match after securing three more points at home. They defeated NWS Spirit 4 – 2 on Saturday, with the help of Daanish Awaz, Dean Bosjnak and Mabior Garang.

The U15s and U16s Girls teams secured another win over the weekend, earning three points after they defeated Macarthur Rams at Lynwood Park. The U18s shared the points with Macarthur Rams, after they drew 1-1. Unfortunately, the U14s were unable to secure their first win of the season, after being defeated by Macarthur Rams.

The First Grade Women’s team suffered a loss on Sunday, after they were defeated by Macarthur Rams at Lynwood Park. The Bulls opened the scoring Sunday night, after a pass from Avaani Prakash found Peta Trimis inside the box, who managed to slip through the Rams’ defences and blast the rebound into the back of the net. The Bulls continued to fight but after Jessica Seaman was substituted off due to a head injury. This substitution seemed to change the momentum of the match to Macarthur Rams’ advantage. The Rams’ secured an equaliser in the 44th minute to round out the first half. The second half unfortunately did not go in favour of the Bulls, with the Rams’ securing a 4 – 1 lead. The Reserves were also unfortunately defeated 1 – 0 on Sunday.
