NPL NSW Wrap Up

The U20s Men’s fantastic win over APIA Leichhardt takes out the highlight of the weekend, which saw some great results from our Bulls FC Academy teams.

The U20s dominated over the weekend after a 4 – 1 win at home. With Ayman Gulasi, Gildas Gomwikezwa and Khodar Abdulkarim securing the three points for the Bulls.

The First Grade Men’s team suffered a devastating loss after they were defeated by APIA Leichhardt at home. The Bulls opened the scoring in the 20th minute when Jesper Webber’s cross deflected off APIA defender Themba Muata-Marlow’s head and into the Bulls’ goal.

APIA Leichhardt levelled the scoring in the 35th minute but the Bulls continued to fight, with some amazing chances from Stephan De Robillard, Mason Wells and Eddie Caspers in the second half. Unfortunately, APIA were able to secure the lead in the 67th minute. The Bulls were unable to capitalise on their chances and ended the match in a 1 – 2 Loss at home.

Despite the loss, Alexander Robinson put on a stellar performance, making some fantastic saves throughout the match.

The U13s Boys are back to their winning ways after they defeated Rydalmere Lions FC over the weekend. The U15s also secured three points at home, after they defeated Rydalmere Lions 5 – 0. The U18s shared the points over the weekend after a 2 – 2 draw. Unfortunately, the U14 and U16s were defeated.

The U16s Girls secured 3 points against Gladesville Ravens after 1 – 2 victory at Christie Park. Unfortunately, despite their brave efforts, the U14s, U15s and U18s were defeated on Sunday.

In the First Grade Women’s game, the Bulls shared the points with Gladesville Ravens after a match full of fantastic chances and saves. The first half was packed with opportunities for the Bulls, with Tamires Souza, Peta Trimis, and Avaani Prakash all taking shots at goal. However, they were unable to break through Gladesville Ravens’ defenses and convert their chances.

The second half saw more amazing chances from Avaani Prakash, Peta Trimis, and Aideen Keane, as well as saves from Trudy Simmons. Unfortunately, the Bulls were unable to break the deadlock, resulting in a 0-0 draw on Sunday. The Reserves celebrated a victory, defeating Gladesville Ravens 1-0 with Cate Gyzen securing the points for the Bulls.
