NPL NSW Wrap Up

The highlight of the weekend goes to the Boys teams of Bulls FC Academy and their outstanding performance, with each team securing points. The rest of the Bulls FC Academy teams enjoying mixed results across the grade.

The Boys team had a stellar performance over the weekend, with every team collecting points. The U13s, U15s ad U18s secured three points over the weekend, after they defeated Fraser Park FC on Saturday. The U14s and U16s both shared the points with Fraser Park FC.

The First Grade Men’s team, dealt with another tough loss over the weekend after they were defeated by Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday. The Wanderers opened the scoring in the 7th minute after they managed to slip through the Bulls’ defences. Alexander Robinson had another fantastic performance, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Wanderers from scoring in the 38th and 49th minute.  The Bulls were awarded a penalty in the 58th minute but Jed Drew’s shot was saved by the Wanderers. The Wanderers collected another two goals in the 80th and 86th minute, defeating the Bulls 0 – 5 at Sydney United Sports Centre. The U20s shared the points with Western Sydney Wanderers after a 2 – 2 draw. The goal scorers for the Bulls were Mabior Garang and Peter Grozos.

The Girls put up a brave fight over the weekend, but they were unfortunately defeated by Northern Tigers FC at North Turramurra Recreation Area.

The First Grade Women’s team secured three points over the weekend after they defeated Northern Tigers FC on Sunday. The first half for the Bulls was slow but full of chances from Charlotte Lancaster and Avaani Prakash, but they were unable to break through and bury one into the back of the net. The Northern Tigers were able to gain the lead after they managed to slip through the Bulls’ defences in the 41st minute.

This, however, did not slow the Bulls’ down. The second half started off strong with a fantastic chance at goal from Jessika Nash, but it was Tamires Souza who managed to pull one back for the Bulls in the 82nd minute and secure the three points for the Bulls in the 90th minute, after slipping past the Northern Tigers defences and slotting the ball into the back of the net.
