NPL NSW Wrap Up

A stellar performance from our First Grade Women’s team puts the finals hopes firmly in their hands, highlighting the pick of this rounds Bulls FC Academy games.

A 4 – 0 win from our First Grade Women’s team puts them on the cusp of finals in their first season since being promoted to the top tier of the NSW NPL. With so much riding on the game against Blacktown Spartans, the Bulls jumped into action, with the first chances from Charlotte Lancaster and Avaani Prakash in the first 20 minutes. The Bulls continued to fight with two chances from Isabella Volkanovski and Avaani Prakash rounding out the first half. The second half was where the action started for the Bulls. Charlotte Lancaster opened the scoring after a cross onto Peta Trimis bounced off the post and found its way into the back of the net. Just 4 minutes later, Amy Chessari and Avaani Prakash joined forces to double their lead. Charlotte Lancaster added another to the tally after slipping through Blacktown’s defences and slotting it into the back of the net in the 71st minute. Only 6 minutes after Charlotte Lancaster’s goal, Avaani Prakash and Peta Trimis joined forces to slip past Blacktown’s defences and secure the fourth goal for the Bulls.

The Reserves fought bravely over the weekend, but they were unfortunately defeated by Blacktown Spartans 2 – 1, with Cate Gyzen scoring for the Bulls.

The U16s Girls shared the points with Blacktown Spartans over the weekend after they drew 1 – 1 at Blacktown Football Park. Unfortunately, despite their brave efforts the U14s, U15s, and U18s were defeated on Sunday.

Alexander Robinson had another stellar performance during the first half, saving every advancement at goal from Manly United. The Bulls also saw some great chances at goal from Eddie Caspers, Mason Wells, and Marco Arambasic. The second half started off slow for the Bulls, with the Bulls having chances at goal but were unable to capitalise and bury the ball into the back of the net. Despite the Bulls’ brave efforts, Manly United came charging through and opened the scoring in the 73rd minute as well as securing the second in the 90th minute.
