NPL NSW Wrap Up

Last weekend’s NSW NPL Matches are done!

The Boys saw a clean sweep over the weekend, with the U13s, U14s, U15s and U16s all winning their matches against Rydalmere Lions. The U16s snatched their first win of the season, defeating Rydalmere Lions 1 – 0. We also saw the U13s continue their win streak, defeating the Lions 2 – 0. The U18s match against the Lions was postponed and will be played today, Wednesday 22nd at 6:00pm.

The First Grade Men’s team took home one point, after they drew 2 – 2 with third on the ladder, APIA Leichhardt. Armson opened the scoring for APIA Leichhardt in the 22nd minute, but the Bulls fought back with Bertolissio scoring an equaliser just 4 minutes after the first goal and Wells securing the lead in the 29th minute. The second half saw APIA gain the equaliser in the 46th minute. Both teams saw many chances throughout the second half, but the Bulls were unable to break the deadlock and secure their first win of the season. The U20s will verse APIA Leichhardt on Wednesday the 12th of April at 7:00pm.

The Girls had a disappointing weekend, with the U14s, U15s and U16s loosing their matches against APIA Leichhardt. The U18s will come up against APIA on Thursday 27th April at 7:45pm.

Our Women’s teams showed their worth in the NPL Women’s Competition, where they drew 0 – 0 with APIA Leichhardt on Sunday. Both teams had their fair share of chances, but Trudy Simmons proved to be an absolute force of nature in goals, smothering every chance APIA had. The Reserves also walked away with 1 point, after the drew 1 – 1 with APIA Leichhardt on Sunday. Jordan Jasnos opened the scoring for APIA in the 40th minute, but it was Frances Klein who secured the equaliser for the Bulls.
