It was another action-packed weekend for our NPL NSW Teams!
The U13s Boys team undefeated streak unfortunately ended over the weekend after they went down to Hakoah Sydney City East FC 2 – 0 over the weekend. The U14s walked away with 1 point after they drew 2 – 2 with Hakoah, and the U15s won 1 – 3 on Saturday.
The First Grade Men’s team were unfortunately defeated by Sydney Olympic FC on Saturday. Sydney Olympic took the lead in the 15th minute after Oliver Puflett managed to slip past the Bulls defences. The Bulls fought back, with many chances at an equaliser, but they were unable to find the back of the net. The second half saw the Bulls go down to 10 men, after Joel Bertolissio was sent off in the 71st minute, receiving a second yellow card. The Bulls remained strong and managed to smother Sydney Olympic’s chances at extending their lead, but the Bulls were unable to secure an equaliser. The U20s defeated Sydney Olympic 0 – 3 after Luka Sterjovski, Joshua Okan and Aaron Green all scored at Belmore Sports Ground.
The U16s Girls team walked away with 3 points over the weekend after defeating Gladesville Ravens 2 – 1. Unfortunately, the U14s, U15s, and U18s were defeated by Gladesville Ravens on Sunday.
The First Grade Women’s team were unfortunately defeated by Gladesville Ravens at home on Sunday. The first half saw many chances from the Bulls, with some fantastic shots from Prakash, Souza and Seaman, but both teams were unable to find the back of the net. Gladesville Ravens managed to secure the lead in the second half after Keiko Tanaka found the back of the net in the 70th minute. The Bulls were unable to secure an equaliser after many chances, and went down the Gladesville Ravens 0 – 1. The Reserves walked away with 3 point on Sunday, after defeating Gladesville Ravens 3 – 1 at home. Gladesville Ravens starting the scoring at 44th minute, but it was the Bulls who clawed back with Daisy Cheesman, Sasha O’rourke and Danielle Rustein securing the lead at home.
