The Bulls Inaugural FFA Cup run comes to a close

Macarthur FC has been knocked out of the FFA Cup, losing 2-0 to Sydney FC in extra time at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Wednesday night.

With no goals in the first 90 minutes, the two teams went head to head to fight for the quarter final position in the FFA Cup, in extra time.

James Donachie opened the scoring for Sydney FC in the first half of extra time after looping a header from Caceres’ cross that went beyond Kurto.

Sydney FC secured their win over the Bulls late in the game when Van der Saag chipped the ball into the corner.

Late in the game an inch perfect pass for Van der Saag from Buhagiar allowed the full back to go clear on goal and chip the ball beyond Kurto into the corner. After 120 minutes of well played football, Sydney FC ended up on top and moving to the quarter finals.

Sydney FC move to the quarter finals where they will play Brisbane Roar.
