The Bulls emerged victorious in a nail-biting encounter at Coopers Stadium, edging out Adelaide United in a thrilling nine-goal contest.
The first half was an absolute goal-fest. Chris Ikonomidis opened the scoring in the 8th minute, netting his first goal in Bulls colours. Just two minutes later, Kealey Adamson doubled the lead with a stunning strike and an equally brilliant celebration.
Adelaide responded swiftly, clawing their way back with goals in the 13th, 19th, and 42nd minutes. The Bulls fought hard for an equaliser before the break but were unable to find the back of the net, heading into the sheds trailing.
The second half picked up right where it left off, with the Bulls attacking relentlessly despite the heat. Captain Luke Brattan levelled the score in the 53rd minute with his first A-League goal for the club, and Marin Jakoliš put the Bulls back in front just four minutes later.
Adelaide refused to back down, equalising in the 73rd minute through Archie Goodwin. However, with fresh legs introduced in Bernardo, Peter Makrillos, Dean Bosnjak, Harrison Sawyer, and Matt Jurman, the Bulls remained determined to secure all three points.
Brattan stepped up once again, producing a moment of magic with a stunning free kick from outside the box to restore the lead. Adelaide thought they had equalised late on through Luka Jovanovic, but their goal was ruled out for offside. The Bulls held firm in the dying moments to seal a crucial victory on the road.
