Article by Macarthur Bulls Junior Reporter, Koah LAWRENCE
Macarthur Bulls and Perth Glory played a very exciting match that finished in a 2–2 draw. Perth Glory scored in the first half, which meant the Bulls went into the sheds down 1–0 at halftime. Even though they were behind, the Bulls stayed positive and ready to fight back.
Whatever Coach Mile said in his halftime talk must have been very inspiring, because the Bulls came out firing in the second half. Macarthur played with lots of energy and scored two goals after the break to take a 2–1 lead. One of the biggest moments of the game was Callum Talbot scoring his first-ever A-League goal to give the bulls the lead which made the crowd very loud and the players very excited.
The second half was the most intense and exciting part of the match. The Bulls attacked again and again and put Perth Glory under lots of pressure. Macarthur hit the post a few times and came very close to scoring more goals. It really felt like the Bulls were going to score again and seal the win.
In the last few minutes, Perth Glory managed to score and make it 2–2. It was disappointing for the Bulls because it felt like they deserved the three points, and Perth Glory were lucky to come away with a draw.
One of the best parts of the night for me was interviewing the fans and players. It was an amazing opportunity and I learned so much. I would like to say a big thank you to the Macarthur Bulls club for letting me be a junior reporter and giving me this experience.
