The Bulls are back in action after a heartbreaking loss to the Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday evening.
Despite the result, the squad is determined to respond when they face the Central Coast Mariners on Wednesday night.Ahead of the midweek clash, Liam Rose spoke to the media about Saturday’s performance and how the Bulls plan to bounce back.
“It was a tough result, obviously a short turnaround so we need to forget that one quickly and move on to the game against the Mariners.”
“It’s a big chance for us to turn it around and get back to winning ways so we’re fully focused on that and looking to get the three points.”
As the season edges closer to its conclusion, the Bulls remain focused on securing their place in the finals.
“We need to just win games.”
“I think we’re still in a good position, we know that, it’s up to us now and we just have to put performances together and get results and really finish off the season strong.”
Wednesday night’s clash with the Mariners also marks the club’s annual Grassroots Round, celebrating local teams across South West Sydney. The occasion brings back fond memories for Rose, who reflected that:
“My dad used to be my coach when I was young and always used to make me run laps and that was always good fun.”
“I played with my brothers growing up so I think just the family side of things, that sits with me and something I really cherish.”
Reflecting on the past season, Rose says it’s been a positive one for him and he’s determined to keep it going straight up until the Grand Final.
“It’s been a positive season. I’m just trying to take it game by game and work hard for the team, do my job and whatever that is, I’m happy to do and again, for me, it’s all about the team and all about winning so if I can help in any way possible, that’s what I try to do.”
