James Hilton Becomes a Bull

Macarthur Bulls FC is proud to announce the signing of goalkeeper James Hilton ahead of the 2026/27 A-League Men’s season.

Originally from Camden, Hilton returns to South West Sydney from Auckland FC, where he served as the club’s reserve goalkeeper and made two appearances during their Championship-winning 2025/26 campaign.

Prior to his time in New Zealand, Hilton enjoyed a successful stint with Marconi Stallions, making 88 appearances across the NPL NSW and Australian Championship competitions. His outstanding performances were recognised in 2025 when he was named the NPL NSW Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year.

Across his time at Marconi, Hilton recorded 28 clean sheets, establishing himself as one of the competition’s most reliable shot-stoppers. He now joins the Bulls’ goalkeeping ranks alongside Alexander Robinson, adding further depth and quality to the squad ahead of the new season.

Speaking on his signing, Hilton said:

“I’m so grateful to sign with the bulls and I’m really excited to meet the fans and make some great memories together.”

“As soon as Macarthur came  in for me it was a no-brainer to say yes. To have the honour of representing my hometown is a privilege not many footballers get to experience so it was an easy decision for me to come onboard.”

“I’m looking to bring 100% commitment, hard work and a good attitude to learn and grow as a young keeper. In saying that, I’ll definitely bring a strong desire for silverware and passion in representing my hometown.”
