Macarthur Bulls FC is delighted to announce the signing of Connor Pain ahead of the upcoming A-League season.
A proven performer with more than 200 A-League appearances to his name, Pain arrives at the Bulls bringing pace, creativity and a wealth of experience at both domestic and international level.
The 32-year-old joins the club following an accomplished career that has seen him represent Melbourne Victory, Central Coast Mariners and Western United, where he played a key role in the club’s historic 2021/22 A-League Championship triumph.
Pain has also enjoyed success abroad, spending time in Saudi Arabia with Al-Orobah, while previously earning international recognition with the Australian national team after making his Socceroos debut in 2013.
The 32-year-old now arrives in South West Sydney to strengthen the Bulls’ midfield stocks alongside Liam Rose and Kosta Grozos as the Club continues to build its squad for the upcoming season.
His arrival adds further quality and versatility to Macarthur’s attacking options as the Bulls continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.
Speaking on his arrival to Macarthur Bulls FC, Pain stated:
“It feels great to be linking up with the Bulls, there are some players that I have played with previously and I know they will help me settle in and feel comfortable.”
“I wanted to first and foremost come back to Australia after being in Saudi Arabia for the last 3 seasons. After some discussions with Macarthur and the boys there I got the impression that it is a really great dressing room and I’m just excited to come and join and contribute in any way that I can.”
When asked what the Bulls fans can expect from him, he said:
“They can expect someone who works really hard and who is definitely team first mentality. I think I have some versatility and some good
A-League experience that I’m hoping can in some small way help the young boys (of which there are many) on their journeys.”
“Whatever position I’m in I can promise that I’ll give my all for my teammates and the club.”
