Macarthur Bulls FC is proud to announce the appointment of Sasa Ognenovski as Head Coach of our A-League Men’s squad.
Ognenovski will take charge for the 2026/27 season, signing with the club until the end of the 2027/28 season.
A highly decorated former player, Ognenovski brings a wealth of experience and a winning mentality to the role. As a centre-back, he was part of the early years of the A-League, representing Brisbane Roar, Adelaide United and Sydney FC.
Ognenovski’s achievements on the field include being named 2010 Asian Footballer of the Year by the Asian Football Confederation after guiding Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma to AFC Champions League glory. A seasoned Socceroo, he also made 22 appearances for the Australian national team.
More recently, Ognenovski has continued his development on the coaching side of the game, serving as Football Director of NPL Victoria side Preston Lions FC.
With experience at the highest levels of Australian and Asian football, Ognenovski brings a strong understanding of the game, leadership and a proven winning mentality to Macarthur Bulls FC.
