Macarthur FC in conjunction with Campbelltown City Council are proud to launch Discover Football, a free school holiday football clinic on April 6th, 2021.
Developed and designed by our qualified Macarthur FC technical coaching staff, the Discover Football clinic is the perfect way for youngsters to experience the game for the first time or who want to enjoy a kick with friends while learning basic football skills.
Each session runs for 1-hour with participants selecting their desired timeslot in the registration process.
Session run times:
- April 6th 9am-12pm: 5-8 years (1-hour per session)
- April 6th 1pm-4pm: 9-12 years (1-hour per session)
Macarthur FC Football Development Officer Jacob Poscoliero said the clinics are a great way to introduce basic football skills to Campbelltown locals.
“The Discover Football clinic is a program that has been tailored to give participants a great introduction to the game. Participants will be shown and taught the basic skills of football in a fun and engaging environment.”
“It’s the perfect way to introduce many boys and girls in the Campbelltown LGA to the game and begin their footballing journey.” Poscoliero said.
Mayor of Campbelltown George Brticevic said the clinics would allow kids the opportunity to try football for the first time.
“Campbelltown is a community that loves its sport and these clinics are a fantastic way to get kids participating in football at an early age,” Cr Brticevic said.
“Playing sport is also a great way of introducing kids to healthy lifestyles and the importance of exercise,” he said.
The Discover Football clinics will be held at Campbelltown Athletics Centre on 6th April 2021 and open to residents of the Campbelltown LGA only.
