Bulls Midfielder Denis Genreau has taken out the top honour as part of Macarthur FC’s inaugural end of season awards.
Genreau claimed The Macarthur Medal, presented by Wisdom Homes – after demonstrating Macarthur FC’s values on and off the field to the highest regard throughout the inaugural season.
The 22-year-old featured in 23 matches for the Bulls during the clubs inaugural A-League season, before being selected for the Socceroos FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
While disappointed to not be part of the club’s debut in the A-League Finals due to national duty, Genreau expressed his appreciation to the Bulls coaching staff for their support this season.
“It’s incredibly humbling to be the recipient of the inaugural Macarthur Medal.” Genreau said.
“I’d like to thank the club, Ante, all the coaching staff, the members and fans for their support this season.”
Bulls gloveman, Adam Federici was voted as the TM Linings Members Player of the Season.
The 6-foot-1 shot stopper featured heavily in all 28 matches for the Bulls. Federici finished equal first across the league with 93 saves, including a breath-taking between the legs save, deep into extra time against the Mariners, in the clubs historic first finals appearance.
Amongst the other awards, The Macarthur Square NPL Player of the Season went to Rory Jordan from the clubs NPL 1 outfit Northbridge Bulls.
Macarthur FC Membership and Game-day Manager Courtenay Neaverson was awarded Club Person of the Season, presented by Campbelltown Council.
Throughout the Bulls inaugural season, the club was assisted by many volunteers across a variety of departments including football, game day, community programs, clinics.
The clubs inaugural Volunteer of the Season, presented by Camden Council was awarded to 17-year-old Bianca Noble. Bianca – a local player with Camden Tigers in the NPL – has been a fantastic addition to the club’s community programs, assisting with the Bulls in Schools programs, Bulls Cup and game day operations.
