On a warm Saturday night, all the fans walked into the stadium feeling excited, nervous and hopeful. The Bulls were playing Melbourne City and everyone thought it would be a really close game. People were saying scores like 2-1, 3-2 or maybe 1-0, and all of them were for the Bulls.
Before the game started everyone was really happy because there were mascots from local clubs and community groups, and even Deadpool was there as a massive Bulls supporter to celebrate Arthur’s birthday. It was also awesome to see heaps of people donating school supplies, which made the night even better.
The game started super fast. New player Mitch Duke scored his first goal for the Bulls in just the first 6 minutes! Not long after that, our captain smashed in an amazing long-range goal and suddenly we were 2-0 up in the first 10 minutes. Then everyone got really quiet when Bratton went down injured, but luckily he was okay and kept playing until halftime.
Melbourne City didn’t give up and scored after a rare mistake from Kurto. But then Caceres scored in the 34th minute to make it 3-1, and the Bulls went into halftime feeling great.
In the second half the Bulls were just as strong. Vickery scored our fourth goal in the 62nd minute, and then Bosnjak scored again in the 70th minute. The crowd was going crazy! City scored one more goal when Younis got a breakaway in the 84th minute, but it didn’t slow us down.
Things got a bit heated when Sawyer and Souprayen got into it, and they both got yellow cards. But Sawyer had the last laugh because he scored an awesome goal in injury time to make it 6-2. That was the final score and it pushed the Bulls up into 3rd place!
After the match, the players looked so happy and the fans were buzzing all around the stadium. Coach Mile said he was really proud of the team, especially because there were six different goal scorers and everyone followed the game plan perfectly.
February is going to be really busy for the Bulls with their AFC games and their finals push, and if they keep playing like this, it’s going to be awesome to watch!
