Aussie striker Anthony Carter signs with the Bulls

The Bulls are thrilled to announce Anthony Carter will join the club ahead of the upcoming 2022/23 Isuzu UTE A-League Season.

The 191-centimetre striker sets eyes for the A-League following a season at Thai powerhouse Bangkok United. Carter, who before this amassed over 60 appearances and 15 goals for Portuguese second tier club Academico Viseu will take the pitch for the first time in the A-League competition.

The Australian born, left his home city Melbourne, at just 14 to pursue his football career overseas where he attended Genover International Soccer School and since then has had stints with Romanian club CFR Cluj, S.L. Benfica and his most recent clubs Academico Viseu and Bangkok United.

The Bulls Group CEO, Sam Krslovic believes Anthony will bring wealth of experience and talent to the team.

“Anthony brings a lot of attributes to the squad and club. It’s exciting times at the Bulls and I believe we have a talented group of football players who can bring quality football to the competition.

“We look forward to seeing Anthony showcase his talent in the A-League and see what he can bring to the club.”

Carter is excited for a new chapter in Australia and is looking forward to the challenge.

“It’s good to be home as I haven’t played in Australia in 13 years so I’m excited to be here and part of this project.

“I think coming here is a really good step for me in my career and to experience the competition here in Australia is something I’ve never experienced before so it’ll be exciting,” said Carter.

“As a striker, having Dwight Yorke as my coach you can’t get better. I’m looking forward to learning from him and how he wants to play and then doing my best to put that out onto the pitch.”
