A picturesque afternoon at HBF Park ended in heartbreak for the Bulls, who fell 3–1 to Perth Glory on the road.
The first half was full of drama, with captain Luke Brattan initially shown a red card early on. Following a VAR review, the decision was overturned, allowing the Bulls to continue with eleven men. Alex Robinson was outstanding in goal, producing a number of strong saves to deny Perth’s attacking efforts.
The Bulls had a promising moment in the 22nd minute when Callum Talbot’s cross deflected off Perth defender Brian Kaltak, but the chance was quickly shut down. Despite continued pressure, the Bulls were unable to find the opener, heading into the break level with Perth.
The second half proved an uphill battle, with Perth opening the scoring in the 47th minute. Robinson again came up big, pulling off a fantastic save to prevent a second.
The Bulls responded in the 68th minute through a stunning strike from Luke Vickery to level the score. However, Perth regained the lead in the 75th minute, before sealing the result with a third goal in injury time.
Finals hopes remain on the line as the Bulls come away from Perth empty-handed.
