A packed Campbelltown Sports Stadium witnessed the Bulls close out a turbulent 2024/25 A-League season with a disappointing loss to local rivals, Western Sydney Wanderers.
With everything on the line, the Bulls faced their neighbours in a highly anticipated clash. A record-breaking crowd of 9,213 fans filled Campbelltown Sports Stadium, setting a new attendance benchmark for the club.
The home side started brightly, with Marin Jakoliš breaking through the Wanderers’ defence and slotting the ball into the back of the net to give the Bulls an early lead. However, the advantage was short-lived, as Kraev levelled the score for the Wanderers in the 27th minute.
The Bulls continued to press, creating promising opportunities through Harrison Sawyer, Chris Ikonomidis, and Jake Hollman, but none could find the finishing touch.
The second half began with less intensity from the Bulls, and the Wanderers capitalised in the 55th minute when Pantazopoulos put them ahead.
In search of an equaliser, the Bulls introduced fresh legs, bringing on Liam Rose, Matthew Jurman, Oliver Randazzo, Daniel De Silva, and Joshua Damevski. Despite the injection of energy, the Wanderers extended their lead further when Antonsson netted a third.
The Bulls fought valiantly until the final whistle, but were ultimately unable to claw their way back. Their final match of the 2024/25 season ended in a 3–1 defeat on home turf.
