Bulls Fall Just Short Against Tai Po FC

The Bulls have suffered a narrow 2–1 defeat to Hong Kong outfit Tai Po FC in their opening AFC Champions League Two clash.

It was a nightmare start for the Bulls, with Tai Po finding the back of the net inside three minutes. Shot-stopper Filip Kurto was called into action multiple times throughout the half, producing a string of brilliant saves to keep the Bulls in the contest.

Just as momentum started to build, the Bulls were dealt a blow in the dying stages of the first half when Calum Talbot was shown a red card, leaving the side to battle with 10 men. They headed into the sheds trailing 1–0.

The Bulls returned after the break full of fight, and Kurto continued to stand tall between the sticks. Tai Po extended their lead in the 66th minute, but the Bulls hit back almost immediately after forcing an own goal to make it 2–1.

Despite a spirited final push and several late chances, the Bulls couldn’t find the equaliser, falling just short in their first outing of the campaign.
