A picturesque evening in Gosford saw the Bulls snatch a point from the Central Coast Mariners in a thrilling 2–2 draw.
The match kicked off with the Bulls employing their tried-and-true tactic of soaking up pressure and waiting for the perfect moment to strike. However, it was the Mariners who opened the scoring in the 15th minute through Trent Sainsbury.
The Bulls quickly responded, with Kevin Boli netting an equaliser just seven minutes later in the 22nd minute. With both sides pushing hard, the Mariners reclaimed the lead in the 29th minute thanks to Arthur Oliveira De Lima.
Despite a number of promising opportunities from Chris Ikonomidis, Marin Jakoliš, and Kealey Adamson, the Bulls couldn’t find the back of the net again before the break and went into the sheds trailing 2–1.
The second half began with Harrison Sawyer replacing Ikonomidis — a move that paid off almost instantly. Just four minutes after coming on, Sawyer scored his fourth goal in three games to level the score at 2–2.
The Bulls kept up the pressure with fresh legs from Daniel De Silva, Dean Bosnjak, Peter Makrillos, and Liam Rose. De Silva and Bosnjak both had excellent chances but couldn’t convert, while Filip Kurto made several key saves to keep the Mariners from pulling ahead again.
Despite a strong finish, the Bulls were unable to capitalise on their chances, and the match ended in a hard-fought draw.
