Macarthur FC can confirm that it has agreed to a fee, including an on-sell amount, for Ariath Piol as he pursues an exciting overseas opportunity.
Piol joined the A-League Men’s team for the 2023/24 season after graduating from the Bulls FC Academy. In his time with the club, he made an impressive impact.
In just 11 games for the Bulls, Piol scored four great goals—including an unforgettable bicycle kick—and assisted teammate Jed Drew. His performances made him a key part of the team’s attack and a favourite among fans.
Reflecting on his time at Macarthur, Piol shared:
“Although it was short, my time at Macarthur was more than enjoyable. My experiences with the Bulls have not only matured me as a person but also allowed me to make lifelong friends.”
When asked about his favourite moment, he said:
“People might expect me to say the bicycle kick, but my best memory was winning the 2024 Australia Cup. Just seeing the joy on the faces of my teammates, the coaching staff, and the supporters was unforgettable. It was also my first professional trophy, which made it even more special.”
Piol also thanked those who supported him during his time at the club:
To the coaching staff—thank you for your help behind the scenes because without them I wouldn’t have developed and become who I am today.”
“To the playing group, thank you for the memorable times over the past two seasons—through all the highs and lows—and for introducing me to golf! Lastly, to the MFC fan base, thank you for welcoming me with open arms and making my experience as a player so much more enjoyable.”
Macarthur FC thanks Ariath Piol for his efforts and contributions to the club and wishes him all the best in his future.
