Another amazing weekend of Bulls FC Academy action has come to a close.
The U13s and U15s Boys teams collected three more points over the weekend, after they defeated Bankstown United FC. The U14s shared the points with Bankstown United at Padstow Park, after they drew 1 – 1. The U16s were unfortunately defeated.
The First Grade Men’s team had a devastating loss on Saturday, after they were defeated by Manly United. Ali Auglah opened the scoring on Saturday in the 9th minute when he managed to slip through Manly’s defences and place an absolute screamer into the top left-hand corner. Just 9 minutes later, Auglah doubled the Bulls’ lead, after managing to weave his way through Manly United’s defences once again and slip a fast one past the goalkeeper. The Bulls held on strong throughout the rest of the first half, with Webber having a fantastic shot at goal in the 35th minute. The second half started off with more chances from the Bulls, but it was Manly who managed to claw back in the 63rd minute. The Bulls continued to fight but Manly managed to level the scoring in the 70th minute after a penalty. Unfortunately, Ali Auglah’s efforts weren’t enough to secure the points for the Bulls. Manly managed to secure the three points after a stunning shot in the 81st minute. The U20s, however, had a fantastic night after they defeated Manly United 0 – 4. With Mabior Garang, Julian Monge, Gildas Gomwikezwa and Dean Bosnjak securing the three points for the Bulls.
The U14s and U15s Girls team secured points against Football NSW Institute on Sunday, with the U14s sharing the points with Football NSW Institute and the U15s taking all three points at Northbridge Oval. Unfortunately, the U16s and U18s were defeated over the weekend.
The First Grade Women’s undefeated streak has unfortunately come to an end after they were defeated by Football NSW Institute over the weekend. It was FNSW Institute that opened the scoring in the 5th minute and scored a second in the 13th minute, but the Bulls continued to fight back. In the second half, the Bulls managed to claw back and score in the 65th minute after Tamires Souza took advantage of FNSW Institute’s deflection and bounced back after her initial shot bounced off the post. FNSW Institute extended their lead just 3 minutes after but that didn’t stop the Bulls from fighting back. A free kick in the 76th minute saw Tamires Souza deliver the ball into the box, and the deflected save from the free kick landing straight into the path of Peta Trimis, who managed to bury it into the back of the net. Unfortunately, the comeback wasn’t enough, and the match ended in a 2 – 3 defeat for the Bulls. The Reserves were defeated 0 – 3 against Football NSW Institute on Sunday.
