The Bulls Academy Girls team dominated the weekend’s action with a clean sweep of wins, taking out the highlight of the weekend. With the rest of the Bulls FC Academy teams delivering fantastic results overall.
The Girls teams put on an impressive performance, securing three points each after defeating Bankstown City FC at Northbridge Oval. The U16s had an outstanding match, defeating Bankstown City FC 7 – 0.
Despite the First Grade Women’s team’s brave efforts over the weekend, they were unfortunately defeated by Bankstown City FC. Although the Bulls had some great opportunities in the first 20 minutes, they were unable to bury one into the back of the net. Bankstown City FC opened the scoring at Northbridge Oval in the 26th minute, after they were awarded a penalty. This did not slow down the Bulls as they continued to fight throughout the first half.
The second half was just as intense, with the Bulls persistently striving for an equaliser. They managed to pull one goal back and level the score, but Bankstown City FC struck again in the 85th minute, resulting in a 1 – 2 loss at home. The Reserves were defeated 0 – 2 by Bankstown City FC on Sunday.
It was a fantastic weekend for the Boys teams, with a total of 21 goals scored across the board. The U13s had an incredible match, dominating Central Coast United, 0 – 8. The U14s, U15s, and U18s secured three points each by defeating Central Coast United FC. Unfortunately, the U16s were defeated on Saturday.
It was another tough loss for our First Grade Men’s team, after they were defeated by Rockdale Ilinden FC. The first half started off with Alexander Robinson producing some sharp saves to slow down Rockdale’s advances towards goal. However, Rockdale managed to score from a corner kick in the 28th minute and doubled their lead in the 44th minute. The Bulls fought hard but couldn’t find the back of the net in the second half, resulting in a 2 – 0 loss to Rockdale Ilinden FC. The U20s were also defeated 2 – 1 by Rockdale Ilinden FC on Sunday.
