Perth Defeat Bulls

A late-night clash in the West sees Perth Glory defeat the Bulls after a thrilling match at HBF Park.

The Bulls unfortunately experienced the taste of defeat in Western Australia, falling short against Perth Glory in a late-night clash at HBF Park. The Bulls started strong in the first half, with Raphael Borges Rodrigues having a fantastic shot at goal after Daniel De Silva skillfully weaved his way through Perth’s defences. Perth fought back with a couple of chances at goal but Filip Kurto was there to collect the ball from Perth’s grasps calmly.

Matthew Millar stole the show with his fourth goal of the season, breaking the ice for the Bulls in the 29th minute. He made a slick run into the box and slammed the ball into the back of the net. The Bulls doubled down on their lead in the 42nd minute, as Millar and Valere Germain teamed up. Millar gracefully weaved through Perth’s defense and set Germain up perfectly to tap the ball past Perth’s goalkeeper, Cameron Cook.

The Bulls went into the second half, confident with their lead. Unfortunately, Perth managed to pull one back, just two minutes into the second half, with Salim Khelifi’s shot was deflected off of a Bulls defender and slipped past Kurto’s grasp. Perth equalised in the 65th minute from a corner set piece. Clayton Lewis and Daniel De Silva were both subbed off in the second half due to possible injuries, making way for Jake Hollman and Ali Auglah.

Lachlan Rose made a comeback from injury for the Bulls in the 77th minute, subbing in with Jesper Webber. The Bulls fought hard for those three points, with a shot from Jesper Webber skimming past the face of the goal. Kristian Popovic also made a comeback from injury in the 92nd minute, subbing in for Germain.

Perth snagged the three points in the match’s final minutes, taking down the Bulls 3-2 at HBF Park.
