Rose: “It Feels Like Home”

The Bulls are finally back at home after an overseas adventure to Beijing, China for their final stint in the ACL2 Group Stages against Beijing Guoan FC.

Turning their focus back to the A-Leagues the Bulls have a challenging clash ahead of them against Brisbane Roar.

Before this clash, Liam Rose sat down with the media to discuss how the team was preparing to face such a physical opponent.

“Everyone knows how they play. They’re very aggressive.”

“They like to battle. We’ve got to be up for that battle and then let our football do the talking. We’ll come ready to play, ready to battle and hopefully get the three points.”

“We have quality players. We’ll focus on that side of the game, but we also can’t shy away from the dirty  side of the game too.”

With Friday set to be an absolute scorcher off the pitch, hitting highs of 40 degrees, Rose says the heat and humidity are all part of playing in Australia.

“It’s part of playing in Australia, to be honest, especially in the summer.”

“It’s expected. Australian Summers are hot. We’re just going to focus on ourselves and do what we need to do, control the game where we can and just focus on us.”

This is Rose’s second stint at the Bulls, and when asked why he returned to the club, he said it was a homecoming for him.

“It’s a great club.Great people from the top all the way down. I absolutely love it.”

“It’s close to home as well, which is great. I’ve got a daughter now, so she gets to grow uparound family. That was a big factor too.”

“Just the people at the club, just unbelievable people. Unbelievable family vibe at the club. It feels like home.”

“That was a massive part in coming home.”
