Sawyer: “We Want to Make Our Home a Fortress”

The Bulls are gearing up for a massive return to Campbelltown Sports Stadium as they face Adelaide United on Monday, 27 October at 7:00pm.

Ahead of the latest instalment of Macarthur Mondays, Bulls attacker Harrison Sawyer spoke to the media about how the squad is preparing to make a statement in front of their home fans.

It was a tough start to the 2025/26 Isuzu UTE A-League season for the Bulls, who were narrowly defeated by Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium last Friday. Reflecting on the result, Sawyer admitted the loss was disappointing but said the team is eager to bounce back.

“It’s always disappointing to start off the season with a loss, but there are positives we can take out of that game and we’re raring to go at home.”

“We want to put on a good show, and it’s been a long time since we played an A-League game at home.”

With the focus now firmly on Monday night’s clash, Sawyer emphasised the importance of starting strong and collecting valuable points early in the campaign.

“We need a good performance ourselves. We want to start picking up points in the league. We’ll do everything we can to make sure we’re ready to get the three points.”

The off-season saw several new additions to the squad, including three international signings. Speaking about the fresh faces, Sawyer praised how quickly they’ve settled into the group and the culture within the club.

“As a foreign player, it always takes a little bit of time to adjust, but they’ve come in really quick and gelled with the boys.”

“I think we’ll see better things from them as they get more minutes and settle in, but at the moment they’re getting along great. It’s a real family vibe at the club, and that’s only going to help them adjust.”

The Bulls return home determined to turn Campbelltown into a fortress,  starting this Monday night.
