The Bulls Take On the AFC Champions League Two

The Bulls are heading back to Asia for another exciting campaign in the AFC Champions League Two.

Here’s everything you need to know.

It’s been a while since our last continetal outing, so let’s take a moment to refresh your memory about the tournament. Just in time for our next adventure!

Previously known as the AFC Cup, the AFC Champions League Two is an annual continental club competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation. It’s the second tier of Asian club football, sitting just below the AFC Champions League Elite, where fellow A-League side Melbourne City will be competing this season.

The Bulls last featured in this competition during the 2023/24 Season, making an impressive run to the ASEAN Zonal Cup Final, where they narrowly fell to the Central Coast Mariners in extra time. Along the way, the team travelled to Myanmar, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Thailand.

The tournament follows the same format as the former AFC Cup. The group stage draw is set for 15 August, where the Bulls will be drawn against three different opponents. We’ll play three home matches at Campbelltown Sports Stadium, and three away fixtures across Asia.

Want to know which teams we are going against in the group stages? See below for information!

The Bulls were drawn in Group E. The other teams included in this group are:

  1. Beijing Guoan FC – Currently sitting fourth in the Chinese Super League, this marks Beijing’s first appearance in the AFC Champions League Two.
  2. Tai Po FC – Competing in the Hong Kong Premier League, Tai Po is making its third appearance in the AFC Champions League Two.
  3. Cong An Ha Noi FC – A standout team in V.League 1, this is Cong An Ha Noi’s debut in the AFC Champions League Two.

Match details will be released soon.

Should the Bulls progress beyond the group stage, they’ll enter the knockout rounds, with eyes firmly set on the Final. The tournament will kick off in September and run through to May 2026.

We can’t wait to begin this next chapter in Asia! Make sure you’re following us on social media to stay updated with all the action.
