Bulls Take a Point at Home

The Bulls were forced to settle for a point at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Friday night, following an action-packed 2–2 draw against Perth Glory.

It was another entertaining clash between the two sides, marking the second meeting of the season, with the Bulls eager to respond after their previous encounter. The hosts brought intensity from the outset, but it was Perth who struck first.

The opening half saw the Bulls absorb early pressure as Perth looked to control possession. The visitors broke through in the 36th minute, with Nicolas Pennington opening the scoring. Despite pushing forward late in the half, the Bulls were unable to find an equaliser and headed into the sheds trailing by one.

The second half told a very different story, with the Bulls returning to the pitch with renewed energy and attacking intent. As the pressure mounted, a breakthrough felt inevitable.

That moment arrived in the 59th minute when Mitchell Duke produced a moment of magic, diving to head the ball into the back of the net and draw the Bulls level. Just 11 minutes later, the home side surged ahead as Callum Talbot fired home his first A-League goal from outside the box, sending the Campbelltown crowd into celebration.

The Bulls came close to extending their lead, with Chris Ikonomidis rattling the woodwork and Harry Sawyer denied by a strong save from the Perth keeper.

Despite controlling much of the closing stages, a rare error in stoppage time saw Perth find an equaliser in the 91st minute, denying the Bulls all three points.

The match finished 2–2, with the Bulls taking a valuable point at home to maintain their place inside the top six.
