Sterjovski extends until 2025

Mile Sterjovski will remain at the helm of Macarthur FC for the next two seasons after signing a contract extension to lead the club through to the end of the 2024/25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

The extension of Sterjovski’s contract ensures the former Socceroo great remains an ever-present figure with Macarthur FC, having been part of the coaching set-up since the Bulls’ inaugural season in 2020.

While Macarthur may not have reached the A-League finals this season, the club’s board has been significantly impressed with the restructure of the first-team’s playing style and standards under the guidance of Sterjovski since his appointment in late January.

“We are proud to have Mile extend his stay with the Bulls for another two seasons,” Macarthur chief executive Sam Krslovic said. “Mile has been part of the club since day one and has been an integral part of building the foundations of the club.”

“In staying until 2025, Mile represents the reinforcement to the football philosophy that we built before our first season in the A-League.”

“While this season has had its challenges, we are pleased with the progress of the squad and the development of many of our most promising players. We look forward to a successful future under the guidance of Mile.”

The former Macarthur FC assistant coach and head coach of Bulls FC Academy, Sterjovski was proud to have been offered the position for an additional two years.

“I am very honoured to be offered a long-term contract and I want to thank the CEO and board for having faith in me and my abilities,” Sterjovski said.

“We have put in place a lot of new structures and we are starting to see the benefits, even if results haven’t always gone our way. I believe we are well placed to deliver success in the coming seasons.”
